Frequently Asked Questions About Maximum Perform-X Sports Training
Tell me about your Maximum Perform-X Program:
The full program takes 4-8 weeks, depending upon how you schedule your workouts. Our Sport Specific Training packages are 4-8 weeks long and require the athlete to attend Maximum Perform-X at least two times a week. Each visit will include a combination of treadmill training (forward and backward), plyometrics, active warm-up, sports specific training, lower extremity weight lifting sessions, core and flexibility. A thorough pre and post-program evaluation will be performed so that your improvements can be measured and recorded.

In order for the program to be most effective, the athlete is allowed a maximum of 4 or 8 weeks to complete the program from their start date. It is necessary to schedule at least two appointments per week for maximum strength and physiological changes. We will help you design your schedule when you begin.

Who is the program for?
Maximum Perform-X has something for every level of athlete from the professionals to the recreational. With this program you are sure to improve your speed, strength, and self-confidence. The more the athlete puts into the program, the more they get out. Our goal is to help every participant get better, no matter what point they are at physically when they come through our door.
What about age limits?
Research has shown the greatest neurological changes in the body occur prior to age 14. Simply put, the more one can do preceding the onset of puberty, within a safe and controlled environment such as the Maximum Perform-X Program, the better the athletes neuromuscular system will adapt after puberty. Younger athletes that do have sufficient strength may enroll in a variety of programs that will enable them to develop the proper amount of strength and coordination needed to complete the Maximum Perform-X Program.
What does the " Running & Hockey” Program: consist of?
These programs are designed to develop running or skating mechanics, while improving stride length and stride frequency which will increase speed and endurance. The program allows the athlete to develop a motor emgram/muscle memory which will benefit their mechanics throughout their season.
Running Treadmill - Used to analyze and improve running and sprinting mechanics. We help you lengthen and quicken your stride, so you are faster and more agile. The treadmill training will gradually increase the athletes sprint speeds, and decrease lactic acid accumulation which is released during strenuous exercise.
Hockey Treadmill - The hockey treadmill allows us to simulate what the athlete does on the ice. The treadmill has the capabilities of elevating to 38% grade with speeds of up to 18 mph. This allows us to improve skating speed, biomechanics, increased stride length, and stride frequency.
Plyometrics - Footwork drills to improve balance, agility, endurance, and vertical jump. You will gain outstanding body awareness and the ability to move quickly and explosively.
Strength Training - Specially designed weight lifting equipment to improve power base. Very young athletes may also use strength-building techniques which do not involve weights.
Patented Sprintcords - Attach to arms or legs to increase resistance during running, hitting, throwing, and kicking. They are used differently for each sport. Sprintcords enable athletes to strengthen at velocities used in actual athletic competition.
When should I begin Maximum perform-X in relation to the athletic season?
Please refer to the Sport Specific Training Calendar on our home page under “Find your X” for a better explanation of this question.
What can I do during the season to maintain improvements made during the program?
We have maintenance programs available throughout your season, and can be scheduled at your convenience. More information can be given about these programs upon request. This is more thoroughly explained in our Sport Specific Training Calendar located on our home page under “Find your X”.
What can I do to keep making gains?
The Maximum Perform-X has many levels. Each level of training involves a greater intensity. Once you've been through one level, then participated in your sport, you may want to come back for the next level. Or you may complete the levels in succession based upon your maximal sprint speed.
How is Maximum Perform-X different from what I can get at camps?
It is not our goal to discourage athletes from attending camps, but unlike camps, our program is designed to provide an athlete with the long term improvements necessary to help them excel in any athletic activity.

Our program is based on years of science, research, and program modifications. Camps teach athletes specific skills for their sport, Maximum Perform-X focuses on building speed, strength, quickening jumping ability, power, and overall conditioning. Although the price is comparable, you’ll receive far more one-on-one time from professionals with over 6-weeks to absorb and practice what you're learning.
How can I compare this program to other conditioning programs?
There is no other program like ours in the world. Developed by Frappier, protocols are scientifically developed, tested, and researched with input from exercise physiologists, orthopedic physicians, athletic trainers, physical and occupational therapists and many others. We use patented equipment designed for and used exclusively for the Maximum Perform-X Program. Not only can you expect to make physical gains but you will also improve your self confidence and attitude. We help each athlete hone a positive winning attitude while they develop more self confidence with the completion of the program. Besides the high level of expertise, alumni of our program will tell you it's great for building athletes' motivation.
Who else can benefit from this program?
Although this program may seem like it is specifically designed for the younger athletes, Maximum Perform-X offers many other programs for all ages. We have a recreational athlete program specifically designed for the older, yet active individual. We also offer personal training for those individuals that who would like more hands on attention to reach their personal goals.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Come dressed to work out in shorts, t-shirt and running shoes. The initial evaluation will give the trainers a basis for where the athlete is at in regards to flexibility, speed, quickness, strength, and agility. Eating a light meal two or three hours before your appointment is important. Full payment must be made at the time of the first visit.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU SOON!!!
